Jillie Joan Mack was born on the 25th December 1957, in Devizes, Wiltshire, England. She hasn’t revealed much about her childhood, including the names of her parents and their professions, nor disclosed whether she has any siblings or if she is a single child. To speak further of her secretive nature, Jillie also hasn’t shared anything in regards to her educational background. All we know about her childhood is that she was interested in the performing arts from an early age, and as a result started attending dance classes when she was rather young.
Gradually she moved from dancing to acting, and before she finished high school, she’d already made a few appearances in high school plays.
Once she finished with the schooling system, Jillie ventured on a search for her professional debut; she made a couple of gigs in theaters across England, with appearances in several plays, including “Cats”, and her performance attracted attention from various people from the entertainment industry, including Tom Selleck. Selleck traveled to England just to see the play, and young Jillie caught his attention.
The two went to dinner which resulted in her move to the US, and the start of their romance. In the US, Jillie made her on-screen debut as Sally Ponting in the TV series “Magnum, P.I.” (1984-1985), in which Tom had the lead role, and the following year appeared in the film “Stephen King’s Golden Tales”. She continued to appear in TV series until the end of the ‘80s, securing roles in such TV series as “The Wizard” (1987), “Tales from the Darkside” (1987), and “Hooperman” (1988).
Once Tom and she married, she became more focused on family and supporting her husband, but still made a couple of appearances before she decided to retire completely. She featured in “Frasier” (1996), “Fired Up” in 1997, and “ER” in 2002, which was her last on-screen appearance.

He studied at the University of Southern California where he played for the USC Trojans basketball team but dropped out of college in his senior year and started studying acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, where his mentor was Milton Katselas.
Before he made a name for himself as Thomas Magnum in the TV series “Magnum P. I.” he had numerous support roles in minor films and TV series. He has won the Golden Globe Award for his performance in the series in the category for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series- Drama.
